7 Ways to Staycation (and Swimsuits to Match)
Sometimes a real vacation just isn’t possible. Life happens, the kids have school, and maybe that much-needed escape feels just out of reach. Either way, it might just be time for a fun, affordable alternative you don’t even need to pack for – a staycation!
Here are some ideas (and some outfits your littles can enjoy them in):
- Explore your hometown: Adventure may literally be just around the corner. Visit your local museums, parks, or tourist spots that you've never explored before. Try out a new restaurant or coffee shop that's been on your bucket list for a while.
- Have a spa day at home: Send your senses on vacation and turn your bathroom into a relaxing spa! Just add candles and music, and enjoy an afternoon of DIY facials, bubble baths, or mani-pedis.

- Learn a new hobby: Get your creative juices flowing and learn a new skill, like painting, cooking, or photography. Bonus points if it's something you can do together as a family.
- Host a movie marathon: Who doesn't love a good old fashioned movie night? So load on the pillows and blankets, snuggle up, and put on a fun flick! P.S. Pinterest probably has some fabulous ideas for a great snack bar.
- Take a virtual tour: Explore the world from your living room with virtual tours of famous museums, galleries, and landmarks. Did you know you can visit the Eiffel Tower or the Great Wall of China without ever leaving your house?

- Plan a game night: Bust out the board games, card games, or video games and have a family game night. You can even make it themed with fun snacks and dress up.
- Have a picnic in the park: Pack a basket full of snacks, grab a blanket and some games, and head to your local park for a fun day in the sun. Weather not so great? Have a picnic in your living room instead!
